Scheduling
We allow an hour for most sedation procedures and create a schedule that is respectful of our patient's valuable time. We do our best to keep waiting and delays to an absolute minimum. We respectfully request 24 hours notice from patients wishing to cancel or reschedule appointments so that we may devote that appointment time to other patients.
Insurance, Financial Agreements, and Payment Terms for Oral Surgery Services
We accept a wide range of insurance plans and offer payment plans through CareCredit.
Please note that medical insurance plans may overlap oral surgery procedures, and patients without dental insurance may have coverage for oral surgery procedures under their medical insurance.
We are happy to call your insurance company and get an estimate of your remaining yearly benefit amount (usually a fixed dollar amount per calendar year) and a list of covered and non-covered services. We will collect each patient's estimated balance on the day of service and will mail either a refund or a bill for the remaining balance, after insurance pays.
Please be aware that Insurance companies will not guarantee either benefits or amounts that they will pay on your behalf, therefore we cannot guarantee our patients what their insurance will or will not pay.
We encourage our patients to call their insurance company to make sure they understand the specific terms of their policy. Sometimes dental claims are paid to another dental office after we contact the company for an estimated payment amount on your behalf. In that case, your remaining benefits will be less and your insurance may pay our office less than they estimated. Policy holders can always ask their insurance company if any additional dental claims have been paid to other dental offices (lowering the remaining benefit amount remaining for the year) after the date that our office team received an estimate of their remaining benefits for the year. Policy holders also receive statements from their insurance companies that Explain their Benefits by the Date of Service and the Dental Provider Name. Please refer to these Explanation of Benefits statements or EOBs for details about all your claims.
Informed patients are the most satisfied, and we provide a detailed financial agreement to each patient with a list of their specific procedures and the fees that they will be charged for each procedure, along with an explanation of our payment terms. It is the patient's responsibility to pay any deductible amount, co-insurance, or any other balance not paid by the insurance company.
